My name is Emily Vierling. I am most definitely an Animas Osprey! I am involved and passionate about my education and I want to make these four years of my high school experience amazing! I will be blogging my high school experience here, along with projects and events that are happening in my classes.
Now, a little about myself. I am a musician and have played violin since I was about five years old. Violin and music (in general) is one of my major passions in life. I play with the Durango Youth Symphony (come to our concerts!) and I am taking lessons from Tennille Taylor, Brent, and Ginger Williams. I'm involved in many outdoor activities including mountain biking, camping, backpacking, skiing , and spending time with my friends. Marine Biology is also a major passion for me in life and I have gone on numerous programs for this. The summer of 2015 I was accepted into the Duke TIP (Talent Identification Program) for marine biology. I love school here at Animas. It involves me so much in learning. I love incorporating what I have learned here into projects. I also love the college advising program. College is a main priority for me and I hope that this program will help me find the colleges that are good for me.
Overall, I love this school and the environment it's placed in.
